Valuable league points for 1st XV

The 1st XV secured four valuable league points on Saturday with a thrilling 24-21 victory over Carrick at Gibson Park. The Stags had to fight back from a 21-14 halftime deficit but two Mikey Smyth tries in the second half were enough to secure the victory.

Timmy McMullan scored all 14 points in the first half with a try and three pens.

There were outstanding performances from James McMaster, Sam Purdon and Timmy Emerson but our FinTrU Player of the Week goes to Taylor Pollock.
