SONI Real Rugby Heroes

We are delighted to receive £250 from 'SONI Real Rugby Heroes' COVID-19 club bursary fund, in partnership with Ulster Rugby.

As a club it was, and still remains important that we look after each other during the Coronavirus crisis. A number of members volunteered to help those in higher risk categories with weekly shopping, collecting prescriptions etc.

As the Premiere league was cut short, so was the GRFC last man standing competition, the funds raised were used to buy supplies that were donated to nurses & staff in the Royal Victoria Hospital. Just a small way we could show our appreciation.

Not forgetting the weekly quizzes, zoom bingo and weekly zoom clubhouse that helped all members stay in touch and in still some sort of Saturday normality, until we can return to the clubhouse.

Thank you to all the GRFC members and players that helped out over the past few months. We couldn't of done it without you!

"Recognised for their outstanding efforts in their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic"
