New Appointments

Grosvenor Rugby Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Connor McKee as their new Head Coach. Connor is a highly respected former Grosvenor player who represented Ulster Juniors. He has previous coaching experience at Bangor Grammar School and was Head Coach at Donaghadee RFC, before returning to playing in 2019.

Crawford Dobbin, Director of Rugby at Grosvenor says, “We are really excited to appoint Connor as our new Head Coach. An unfortunate injury last year cut short his playing career, but he is thrilled to be taking up the coaching reins again. Connor is joined by new Assistant Coach, Jamie McMullan, a current Grosvenor player who was Head Coach of Malone Women’s rugby last season. Jamie has previously coached at Grosvenor Grammar School and Loughborough University. Our new Club Captain is Stuart Smyth, a double McCrea Cup winner and former Ulster Juniors player. Stuart is a natural leader who brings bags of experience and enthusiasm to the role.”

Based in East Belfast, Grosvenor Rugby Club has three adult sides giving members the chance to play serious or social rugby. The 1st XV play in Championship 1 and won the McCrea Cup defeating Queens 2nd XV at Kingspan stadium in April this year. The 2nd XV competes in Premier Provincial 1 and the 3rd XV in Regional East 2. New members are always welcome, regardless of experience or ability.
