President's welcome

Grosvenor Rugby Club was formed in 1953 and has a long and proud tradition in Ulster Rugby. Over recent years we have enjoyed considerable success and in 2009 and 2010 were short-listed for IRFU Ulster Club of the Year. In March 2012 we were one of only two cubs in Ireland to achieve the IRFU Club Excellence Award and in April 2012 were granted the prestigous Sport NI Club Mark status.
We field three adult sides: our 1st XV plays in the Ulster Chamionship Div. 2, our 2nd XV in the Provincial League Section 2 and our 3rd XV in the Regional League-East 2. We place great emphasis on the social aspect of rugby and our annual tour is the stuff of legend.
A new home
In April 2016 we accepted the kind invitation of Malone RFC to relocate to Gibson Park. We are now well established in our new home, enjoying the superb facilities and being part of what is a welcoming, vibrant rugby hub in the heart of East Belfast.
A New Coaching Team
We place great emphasis on player development and are delighted to have one of the finest coaching teams in Junior Rugby, overseen by Director of Rugby, Ian Graham. Head Coach Robert Ford (also Ulster Juniors Asst. Coach) is joined by forward specialist Michael 'Waffle' Smyth, Marty McCullough and James Bowman. Grosvenor is once again enjoying a resurgance and in the 2016/17 season our 1st XV finished 3rd in Div. 2; our 2nd XV were promoted as Provincial 3 Champions and no fewer than five Grosvenor players featured in the Ulster Juniors' squad that won the Inter Pro Championship.
Grosvenor Rugby Club welcomes new members of all playing abilities and can guarantee you excellent coaching, great rugby, warm hospitality and friendly cameraderie.
Proud to be a Stag!
