President's welcome

Grosvenor Rugby Club was formed in 1953 and has a long and proud tradition in Ulster Rugby. Over recent years we have enjoyed considerable success and in 2009 and 2010 were short-listed for IRFU Ulster Club of the Year. In March 2012 we were one of only two cubs in Ireland to achieve the IRFU Club Excellence Award and in April 2012 were granted the prestigous Sport NI Club Mark status. In April 2014 the 1st XV won the McCrea Cup at Ravenhill, defeating holders CIYMS in a thrilling match.

We field three adult sides: our 1st XV plays in the Ulster Chamionship Div. 2, our 2nd XV in the Provincial League Section 3 and our 3rd XV in in the Regional League-East 2. We place great emphasis on the social aspect of rugby and our annual tour is the stuff of legend.

A new home
In April 2016 we accepted the kind invitation of Malone RFC to relocate to Gibson Park. We are now well established in our new home and look forward to enjoying the superb facilities and being part of what is a welcoming, vibrant rugby hub in the heart of East Belfast.

A New Coaching Team
We place great emphasis on player development and we are delighted to have one of the finest coaching teams in Junior Rugby, overseen by Director of Rugby, Ian Graham. New Head Coach Robert Ford has joined us from Queens RFC and brings a huge amount of talent, experience and enthusiasm to the role. He is joined by two Grosvenor legends,  Marty McCullough as 2nd XV Coach and Michael 'Waffle' Smyth as forwards specialist.

Grosvenor Rugby Club welcomes new members of all playing abilities and can guarantee you excellent coaching, great rugby, warm hospitality and friendly cameraderie.

Proud to be a Stag!
