Our vision

To be a successful, sustainable rugby club with a strong Grosvenor identity, playing an exciting brand of rugby, recognised for good sportsmanship and great hospitality and for making a positive contribution to Ulster Rugby.

Grosvenor Rugby Club was formed in 1953 and has a long and proud tradition in Ulster Rugby. Over recent years we have enjoyed considerable success and in 2009 and 2010 we were short-listed for IRFU Ulster Club of the Year.

We place great emphasis on the social aspect of rugby and our annual tour (which usually coincides with an Ulster away game) is the stuff of legend.

We will be fielding four adult teams for the 2011/12 season: our 1st XV in Qualifying 2; our 2nd XV in Junior 3; our 3rd XV in Junior 5 and our 4th XV in Minor East 2.

We train on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30pm and have an excellent coaching team comprising Andrew 'Gibbo' Gibson (Head Coach), Michael 'Waffle' Smyth (Forwards) and assistant coaches Martin McCullough, Neily Robertson and Mikey Morris. Our Club Physio is the wonderful Cat Ferguson.

Grosvenor Rugby Club welcomes new members of all playing abilities and experience and as a small club can guarantee you a warm welcome.

Proud to be a Stag!
